6/22 Sermon Recap:

• Pastor Suzanne talked about Paul’s instructions to those “with power” and “without power” in the church in Rome as they gathered to eat together in the midst of their differences. 
• Paul speaks to those without power and tells them not to judge those with power. And he speaks to those with power and he tells them not to use their power to create stumbling blocks for those without power. They are called to tolerate each other and to welcome each other because Christ has welcomed them. 
• Suzanne talked about how those with power in a situation or space bear the most responsibility to move first towards peace and unity for the sake of the whole. 

Sermon Discussion Questions:

• What places of your life do you feel like you have power? How might you be called to move towards and create space for those without power?
• What places in your life do you feel like you are lacking power? How might you be called to release judgement of those around you who hold more power? Spend time asking God to help you in those places where you feel powerless.
