On April 12th Student Ministry is hosting a Serve Saturday with the help of Urban Plunge. Urban Plunge is an organization that helps coordinate service opportunities for Churches is different cities. Here are some details:

  • Middle School & High School are invited
  • High Schoolers have the opportunity to serve in a leadership role with a required 2 hours training at the Bridge prior to April 12th. 
  • We will serve several different ministries in DSM (we will get a more detailed list as we get closer) 
  • $70 (Scholarships are available) 
  • Attending Prom? You can attend a portion in the morning (11th and 12th grades only!)
    *This will be in place of the middle school retreat that is on the calendar (please let me know if you have any questions).

Power Connection 
Middle School students have just received a scholarship that discounts Power Connection for the first 20 students! The cost full cost is $206 and sign up here to before the first 20 spots fill up. Even if you just put down the $50 deposit it will save your spot. If you have already signed up, I will get you a refund of the $92 dollars soon. Don't wait until April 15th spots may fill up by then.

HIS Work Camp
His work camp is such an amazing experience. If you have any questions about what the Work Camp is like, please feel free to reach out. We have been talking about it a lot on Wednesday Nights and really want to encourage you to speak with your teen to see if it is something that would be good for them this coming summer. Any current high schooler is invited to attend, we do have a minimum of 6 students and a current maximum of 8.

Sign up deadline is Feb 15th, signing up after the 15th, students will be added to our waitlist.

Wednesday Night Students


Alive

6:30-7:30 PM (6th-8th Grade)

Wednesday night Alive is a weekly event for 6th-8th graders geared to equip middle schoolers in centering their faith through biblical teaching, worship, relational building, and of course… food! It is Wild and Crazy Fun! At Alive students will have a blast as they connect, grow, and serve along with their peers and leaders. We encourage students to bring friends at any time!

Elevate

7:00-9:00 PM (9th-12th Grade) Dinner Provided

Wednesday night Elevate is a weekly event for 9th-12th graders to gather and engage in worship, biblically-based discussion with real-life applications, and time to build relationships with friends and leaders through small groups. In a culture that is constantly changing we hope our students will learn to stand firm in their faith and be equipped to live like Christ in the world around them! 

Community Youth Night

3rd Wednesday of School Year

MS 6:30-7:30pm & HS 7:00-9:00pm
This is a combined night geared toward students who might be new to the church world or exploring faith. Our Elevate students have helped design these nights, and let me say, they are so much fun! You often won't know what to expect! Join us once a month at The Bridge!


Profession for Students

11:15 AM-1:00 PM Once a month

Geared for students 8th grade and older.

Sunday, Sept.22 Parent Meeting

Profession meetings will be held on the following dates unless otherwise noted: Sep. 22 Oct. 27, Nov. 24(11:15 AM-3:30 PM-Death and Life Tour), Dec. 15, Jan. 26, Feb. 23, Mar. 30, Apr. 27(Last Meeting), May 18 (Profession Sunday Worship Service)

Students need to be in attendance as each session builds upon the previous ones. Lunch is provided by parents on a monthly sign-up.

Profession is a one-year opportunity for students to dive deeper into their faith journey with Christ. Session experiences will allow students to think deeply about their developing Christian faith and better articulate what they believe and why.
